Dear Summer Entrepreneurship Students:

We look forward to meeting you this summer. We have been working hard to create a great program for you, and we've been scheduling faculty lectures, talks from leading entrepreneurs, and planning visits to leading corporations and agencies.

The time you spend with us will help you develop the essential skills for succeeding as an entrepreneur, such as fostering new relationships, effective communication and hands-on, practical collaboration. By developing your business plans, working through team-building exercises with your peers, and networking, you will be able to construct and refine your entrepreneurial philosophy and put it to work on real-life projects.

Our days will be fun and challenging. Sample topics include startups, financing, project management skills, managing success, corporate social responsibility, and risk management. By working with esteemed scholars, experienced business leaders, and entrepreneurs, we hope you will find your weeks at UC Davis to be a catalyst for creativity, organization and inspiration.

As we finalize the course schedule and curriculum are finalized, we will post some reading to help you prepare for these dynamic and demanding weeks of learning.
