V immigrated to the United States from Sri Lanka as a bilingual international student. She earned her BA in English Literature at UC Davis and has spent time as a volunteer at refugee and ESL nonprofits in Sacramento throughout and after college. She joined UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education in 2018. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and writing book reviews, playing tennis, and fixing and building her car. Her car has taken her to 11 states on both the West and East coasts and she hopes to drive to all the contiguous states!
